Commercial for a manufacturer of window blinds

“We want a commercial like the one you did with the early humans. We are sick of trivial commercials, we want creativity.” We came up with five different concepts for this request of Ulei, a manufacturer of blinds. The customer picked the idea “Keep private things private” in which the viewer ‘peeps’ into other people’s windows. It is clear that the better the advertising, the more investments it requires. However, it has no effect on our fee: all additional costs are related to certain needs, such as actors, sites, additional equipment, costumes, make-up artists... Our experience shows that only some customers are ready to pay such figures, even though we always try to save as much as possible (we even ask actors and make-up artists to give us a discount) because we understand that local prices are different than those in Moscow.

However, we do have customers focused on quality, such as Petroglyph and Ulei. We also try to find alternative options. For example, we did not build a pavilion for the early humans commercial as was the case in Moscow, but found a real cave. For the Ulei commercial we saved on shooting sites and filmed the entire video in a studio. It allowed us to shoot everything in just one day. However, we told a great story about how blinds allow you to protect your privacy.

And you? Do you like peeping through other people's windows? We have found out that it is a great way to gain insights into the spirit of different cities and countries. We also concurred that Paris windows are especially exciting. However, we didn’t see a superhero in any of them. But we did see kisses.
